The Minister of State for Industry, Senator John Owan Enoh, has stated that the Nigerian Industrial Policy (NIP) is measuring up to its set objectives. He made this remark while officially inducting new private-sector members to scale reform gains. The NIP was launched in February 2026, following efforts by the Industrial Revolution Work Group (IRWG), which was inaugurated in February 2025 to drive industrial and manufacturing growth. The IRWG comprises stakeholders from the private and public sectors, development partners, and academia, and aims to address key constraints in the industrial ecosystem such as finance, energy, infrastructure, regulation, Made-in-Nigeria patronage, and skills. The minister spoke at the second technical session of the IRWG in Lagos, themed 'From Technical Consensus to Policy Reality: Advancing the IRWG Execution Mandate'.
