Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and elder statesman, was buried in Yola, Adamawa State, on Sunday. The burial was conducted according to Islamic rites and led by the Chief Imam of Modibbo Adamawa Central Mosque, Alhaji Ahmadu Bobboi. Tukur died on Saturday at the age of 91 and is survived by two wives and 18 children, including Awwal Tukur, the Secretary to the Adamawa State Government. The funeral prayers were attended by notable figures such as Aliko Dangote, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, Senator Iya Abbas, former Governor Jibrilla Bindow, and other dignitaries.
