Stakeholders Call for Development to Unlock Efficiency in Nigeria’s Shipping Sector

Stakeholders in Nigeria's shipping industry have called for the development of the shipping value chain to unlock efficiency in the sector. They warned that if indigenous players do not take advantage of Nigeria's growing shipping traffic, foreigners will seize the opportunity and reap the economic benefits. The call was made during the keynote address by Mr. Edwin Devakumar, Group Vice President (Oil, Gas and Fertiliser) at Dangote Industries Limited, at the Nigeria Chamber of Shipping (NCS) Members' Evening in Lagos. The event was themed 'A Public-Private Dialogue with CEOs: Unlocking Efficiency in the Marine and Blue Economy Value Chain.'
