Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in Lagos State have called on the government and private sector to extend digital skills development training to them to empower them to become self-reliant and productive. The call was made at the end of a two-day training session organised for PWDs in Lagos and facilitated by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). Participants expressed gratitude to the NCC and its consultant, Fornido Development Company, for the hands-on training, but said more regular training is needed and should not be a one-off. Binta Gali, Lead Facilitator, Digital Citizenship Training at Fornido Development Company Limited, expressed satisfaction with the participants' willingness to learn new digital skills.
