The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has restated its commitment to deploying technology platforms that will strengthen trust, security, and integrity within Nigeria's telecommunications ecosystem and the broader digital economy. The commitment was made in a communique issued at the end of the NCC's 110th board meeting held in Abuja. The board received updates on strategic priorities, operational performance, and market developments as part of the report of the Executive Vice Chairman and CEO, Dr. Aminu Maida, and considered key regulatory and industry matters. According to the communique, the Device Management System (DMS) is now live and is supporting enhanced type approval compliance through technology, improving the commission's ability to verify device compliance and discourage the circulation of non-compliant devices.
