Oluwadare Joseph Faduri, the presidential candidate of the Action Alliance, called on Nigerian youths and women to actively participate in politics and reject a system he said is driven by money and self-interest. In a statement, Faduri said his decision to enter politics in 2022 was motivated by concerns over hardship, unemployment, insecurity, and economic challenges. He promised that if elected, his administration would restore the fuel subsidy to reduce petrol prices and prioritize electricity generation and distribution. He also advocated for promoting locally manufactured vehicles to stimulate local industries and create jobs, and criticized the practice of using women and youths to win elections and then sidelining them in governance.
