The Osun State Police Command has launched an investigation into the shooting of Olalekan Oyeyemi, also known as Emir Ajagungbade, in Ile-Ife on Sunday. Oyeyemi was a known supporter of the Accord Party in the state. According to a statement by the command's Public Relations Officer, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, police were deployed to the area around the energy filling station following a tip about an accident, and preliminary investigation revealed that Oyeyemi was shot. The command said it is working to determine the causes of the shooting, identify those responsible, and bring them to justice.
