More than two months after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced the replacement of Dr Dakorinama Alabo George as Executive Director of the Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA), George has not vacated office. Tinubu had replaced George with Abdulrazak Sa’ad Namdas, a former spokesperson of the House of Representatives, in June 2026. A visit to the BCDA headquarters in Abuja revealed that George’s portrait was still displayed at the reception area alongside the president’s. A staff member confirmed that George was still at the agency, while Namdas said he had not resumed because he was awaiting his appointment letter from the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
