Six Islamic clerics, mostly chief imams of Juma’at mosques in Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State, were abducted 48 hours ago, and the bandits have not contacted their families. Locals in Dakko village, including the chief imam and his deputy, reported no communication from the abductors. A community member, Malam Musa Dakko, expressed shock and uncertainty over the clerics’ fate, appealing to the government to intensify search and rescue efforts. The community has resorted to prayers for the safe return of the scholars.
