Kano State is positioning itself as the commercial capital of northern Nigeria through the Kano Economic City project. Located at Dangwauro Town along the Kano-Zaria Highway, the project spans 117 hectares and will include 80,000 square metres of warehouse space and 12,000 shops and stalls. It aims to decongest prime areas of the city and transform Kano into a truly urbanised mega city. The economic city will feature a pharmaceutical market, textile market, logistics hub, and other facilities to drive innovation and competitiveness.
