The internal crisis in the Adamawa State chapter of the African Democratic Congress has deepened with the swearing-in of Dr. Markus Peter Danbaki as state chairman, creating three factions. Previously, two factions led by Barrister Sadiq Dasin and Alhaji Sa'idu Naira each claimed to be the authentic state chairman. The oath of office was administered by factional Legal Adviser Barrister Ibrahim Ahmad in Yola, with State Working Committee members, supporters, family members, and stakeholders in attendance. In his acceptance speech, Danbaki pledged to operate an open-door policy and consult all party segments in decision-making.
