The Nigerian equities market experienced a significant downturn last week, with investors losing N1.9 trillion due to widespread profit-taking. This followed a bullish trend the previous week when investors gained N3.73 trillion. The NGX market capitalisation dropped to N157.587 trillion from N259.558 trillion, and the All Share Index fell by 1.6% to close at 243,052.74 points. Analysts have attributed the decline to factors including the Dangote Refinery IPO.
