Nigerian singer Skales has urged artistes and their supporters to stop fuelling hostility in the music industry, warning that persistent rivalries could eventually have tragic consequences. In a post on X, he called for greater respect and asked those involved in music-related feuds to reconsider how far such conflicts could go. Skales said the beef being promoted would one day cause the loss of lives in the Nigerian music industry, adding that love is cheaper than hate, as is respect. He also alleged that people he once regarded as allies betrayed him, spread falsehoods about him and labelled him jealous after gaining greater prominence.
