Three herders were killed in the Aloghom area of Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State and buried amid tears in Mangu. The victims, identified as Garzali Shaibu, 18; Bashiru Yakubu, 14; and Salim Abubakar, 15, were killed on Saturday while tending their cattle. About 50 cattle were also reportedly killed in the attack. The funeral prayer was conducted at Mangu Central Mosque on Sunday and led by the Chief Imam, Jibrin Ahmad Dalhat. The state chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Ibrahim Yusuf Babayo, condemned the attack as unprovoked.
