Akwa Ibom State Governor Pastor Umo Eno has denied any rift with his predecessor, Deacon Udom Emmanuel, and rejected allegations that he used the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to seize Emmanuel's house. The allegations were made by Senator John James Akpanudoehe, the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), who claimed Eno was having a running battle with Emmanuel. Eno addressed the claims during a press briefing in Uyo, stating there is no conflict between him and his predecessor. The governor is seeking reelection in 2027.
