Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has called for increased mobilisation of women as his political group, Atiku Pulse, launched its grassroots campaign ahead of the 2027 presidential election. The group was unveiled in Abuja by Atiku alongside his political ally Kashim Ibrahim-Imam. Atiku stated that Nigeria needs a new direction in job creation and security, and advocated for massive recruitment into security agencies to address unemployment. Ibrahim-Imam attributed the country's problems to a failure of leadership.
