The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, Federal Ministry of Education Headquarters Chapter, has directed the immediate closure of all federal unity colleges and Ministry of Education offices nationwide, effective Monday, 14 September 2026. The directive followed a union congress where members resolved to oppose the proposed sale of Unity Schools. The memo, signed by chapter Chairman Comrade Sampson Chigozie Ngadi, instructed unit chairmen to ensure all colleges and offices remain closed until further notice. The union said the action was necessary to enforce its resolutions despite alleged threats and intimidation.
