Former FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura, in an exclusive interview with The Punch, said Nigeria has the potential to become Africa's sport and entertainment hub. She called for a shift away from standalone stadiums and advocated for integrated sport and entertainment districts. Samoura, who served as FIFA Secretary General from 2016 to 2023, also explained her decision to join the Advisory Board of African Collaborations Group. She emphasized that Africa's sporting talent and its economic value must remain on the continent.
