‎Lagos: Commuters stranded as commercial bus drivers strike over alleged extortion

Commercial bus drivers operating along the Iyana-Ipaja/Iyana-Iba axis in Lagos have embarked on a strike over alleged extortion by law enforcement and transport regulatory agencies. The drivers are protesting against LASTMA, the Police, the FRSC, and NURTW members, claiming incessant extortion that has made it difficult to operate. Many commuters are stranded as a result of the strike. The drivers say the situation has become unbearable and is affecting their daily income.
