Chen Yixin, China's minister of state security, published an article in China Cyberspace identifying six major AI risks for Beijing. The first risk was 'regime security,' with Chen warning that hostile forces use generative AI to produce political rumors cheaply and in large quantities. His warning comes as leaders of major AI companies publicly agreed that a slowdown in AI development is necessary.
