China on Monday rejected calls from top U.S. tech executives to pace frontier artificial intelligence development while maintaining a lead over China to ensure America's national security. According to the report, China stated that the development of artificial intelligence concerns the common well-being of all humanity and that all parties should jointly promote it. The rejection came in response to the U.S. executives' position on AI pacing and competition between the two countries.
