Nigeria’s Davis Cup team has departed for Rabat, Morocco, ahead of a crucial 2026 World Group II tie against Morocco on September 19 and 20. The Nigerian contingent left on Monday aboard Royal Air Maroc for the encounter at the Union Sportive des Cheminots de Tennis du Maroc. Nigeria aims to end a long-standing losing record against Morocco, having lost all four previous meetings, with a place in Davis Cup World Group I at stake. The players have spent three weeks in an intensive training camp focusing on match sharpness, physical conditioning, and team cohesion, led by head coach Benson Ishicheli.
