Hyperscalers Convergence Africa 2026 sets action agenda for Africa’s Digital Infrastructure Buildout

The Hyperscalers Convergence Africa (HCA) 2026 conference concluded with a clear action agenda for accelerating Africa's digital infrastructure development. The event honoured twelve pioneers whose work helped shape the continent's digital economy and recognised 100 women leading innovation across telecommunications, cloud, data centres, policy, finance and technology. Held under the theme "Africa's Great Digital Buildout," the third edition brought together policymakers, regulators, investors, development finance institutions, technology companies, infrastructure operators and enterprise leaders from across the continent. Participants included Dr Talkmore Chidede of the African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat, representing Secretary-General Wamkele Mene; Sulaiman Cisse of Africa Finance Corporation; and Opuiyo Oforiokuma of the Africa50 Infrastructure Acceleration Fund.
