The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has commended the federal government and the Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Chief Idris Olorunimbe, for introducing zero-rated access to online educational platforms for students. The commendation was made by NANS President, Comrade Babatunde Akinteye, during the launch of the initiative in Abuja. Akinteye noted that the intervention addresses a major barrier to modern learning, as the cost of data prevents many students from accessing online educational resources. He emphasized that education is no longer confined to classrooms and that the NCC's move tackles the real bottleneck of connectivity.
