Manufacturers’ Unsold Goods Jump 10.6% to N1.77trn In Q1

Manufacturing companies listed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) recorded combined unsold inventories of about N1.77 trillion in the first quarter of 2026, a 10.6% year-on-year increase from N1.597 trillion in Q1 2025. The inventory build-up occurred as cost of sales rose 13.7% year-on-year to N1.434 trillion. The data indicates growing financial pressures across various manufacturing sectors.
