2027: Over 600 Northern Lecturers Endorse Tinubu, Seek Action On Economy, Insecurity

Over 600 senior academics from public universities in Northern Nigeria have endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in the 2027 presidential election. The endorsement was announced after an assessment of the Tinubu administration's performance in key sectors. The academics, however, stated that their support is not a blank cheque and called on the Federal Government to address food prices, unemployment, and insecurity. The position was made known at an interactive session convened by the Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Ibrahim Masari, under the theme 'Consolidating the Renewed Hope Agenda: Three Years of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Achievements and the Road to 2027.'
