Presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has renewed his pledge to make education free and compulsory from primary school to university if elected president in 2027. Sowore restated the commitment in a social media post on Monday, as primary and secondary schools, including Federal Unity Colleges, resumed for a new academic session nationwide. He said children should not be denied access to education because their parents cannot afford the cost. Sowore stated that under an AAC-led government, education would be free, qualitative, accessible, and compulsory from primary through university.
