A Chief Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti has ordered the remand of a husband and wife, Lamidi Salau, 67, and Lamidi Aina Abigail, 65, over their alleged involvement in the killing of a 25-year-old housewife, Kehinde Omize. The two defendants were remanded at the Correctional Facility in Ado-Ekiti on allegations of conspiracy to murder and murder. The prosecutor, ASP Akinwale Oriyomi, informed the court that there was probable cause to order the remand of the two defendants and one other suspect, who is currently at large. The offences are punishable under Sections 244 and 234 of the Criminal Laws of Ekiti 2021 and were allegedly committed within the Ado-Ekiti Magisterial District on September 9, 2026.
