The Kaduna State Government announced that over 500,000 hectares of farmland have been recovered from bandits, allowing farmers to return to their fields. Commissioner for Information and Culture Ahmed Maiyaki attributed the development to community-based security strategies and early warning mechanisms implemented over the past three years. He noted that rural communities had previously been under severe bandit control, preventing agricultural activities. Maiyaki spoke on Sunday at a Gala Night organized by the Kano Correspondents' Chapel during its annual retreat in Kaduna.
