Meet Journalist Edward Kijanangoma who will replace Uganda’s late ‘Boy King’

Ugandan journalist Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma has been selected as the next monarch of the Tooro Kingdom following the death of King Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV. Kijanangoma, a cousin of the late king, was chosen as crown prince by a committee and is expected to be crowned later this week. He works with the Uganda Broadcasting Corporation and will succeed King Oyo, who died at 34 after battling cancer. The selection has sparked controversy within the royal family, with Oyo's sister rejecting the decision.
