Troops of Operation Hadin Kai rescued 20-year-old Adam Yabana, who had been held by terrorists for over three months in Borno State. He was intercepted on September 9 by troops from the 156 Task Force Battalion, along with the AHQ Intelligence Fusion Battalion and the Civilian Joint Task Force, in Mainok, Kaga Local Government Area. The rescue took place during a clearance operation based on credible intelligence about suspected terrorist activity near Abasuri village. Preliminary investigations indicate Yabana was abducted while working on a farm in the Gowo area and escaped on September 8, fleeing to Barmalanti village before reaching Mainok.
