The Chairman of Ukwauni Local Government Council, Barrister Chiamaka Solomon Possible Ajede, has dismissed claims that Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori ordered the arrest or removal of a serving councillor. Ajede clarified that the councillor, identified in court processes as Chukwuemeka Victor Kenneth 'M', remains a sitting councillor but is currently under suspension by his colleagues over alleged contravention of the council's code of conduct. The councillor's detention is a result of criminal proceedings instituted by the Police, following allegations contained in statements he allegedly made during a live television programme. Ajede made the clarification while reacting to a trending video on social media.
