NSCDC arrests nine over school vandalism in Zamfara

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Zamfara State has arrested nine suspects in connection with the vandalism and theft of roofing sheets from Tsageru Primary School in Tsafe Local Government Area. The suspects were paraded at the command's headquarters on Monday by the Head of Public Relations, ASCI Umar Mohammad. According to Mohammad, the arrests followed a complaint by the Educational Secretary of Tsafe LGA, Abdulrahman Aliyu, and one suspect, Alhaji Haruna Amadu, was arrested on September 8, 2026. The suspects have allegedly confessed to the crimes, and investigations are ongoing.
