Gunmen have abducted six Muslim clerics in Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State during a prayer gathering held in support of President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid for 2027. The incident occurred on Saturday, according to a BBC Hausa report monitored on Monday. The event was reportedly organised by former Zamfara State Governor Abdulaziz Yari, who chairs the Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council. Police authorities confirmed the abduction and said efforts are ongoing to locate and secure the release of the clerics, though confusion arose over reports that the clerics were taken from Yari's residence.
