Chiefs, women, and youths of Kerebiri-Mein Kingdom in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State staged a peaceful protest on Monday over the delay in presenting the staff of office to their monarch, HRM (Barr.) Godspower Tam Oporomo, Tara-eza I. The protesters, from the 10 communities that make up the kingdom, marched through streets in Bomadi, demanding that the state government expedite the process. They carried placards with inscriptions such as 'Kerebiri-Mein is an autonomous kingdom' and called on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to grant recognition to their king and kingdom.
