The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the final list of presidential and vice-presidential candidates for the 2027 election. The list, signed by INEC Secretary Rose Oriaran-Anthony, includes 18 candidates. Among them are President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress, and former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Congress. Other candidates include Oyo State Governor Oluseyi Makinde of the Allied Peoples Movement, Sandy Ojang Onor of the Peoples Democratic Party, and former Cross River State Governor Donald Duke of the Peoples Redemption Party. The list shows that presidential candidates are aged between 35 and 79, while vice-presidential candidates are between 35 and 80 years old. Atiku, 79, is the oldest presidential candidate, followed by Tinubu, 74.
