President/CEO of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, has disclosed that he acquired his first private jet at the age of 22 and a half. Dangote made the revelation on Monday at the Nigerian Exchange in Lagos during the formal launch of the Initial Public Offering of Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals. Reflecting on his decades in business, the billionaire industrialist said he had enjoyed the trappings of wealth early in life, but his priorities have now shifted to productive investments that create jobs and grow the economy. He urged wealthy Nigerians to redirect spending from luxury assets to manufacturing and other productive ventures.
