Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has emphasized that adequate housing is the foundation of a stable, productive and prosperous society. Under his administration, the state's Housing Development Agenda, driven by the Ministry of Housing Development, is delivering results at a scale rarely matched at state level. Over 5,000 housing units are already in progress across all 36 Local Government Areas, part of a wider portfolio of 22 key housing projects. The programme is generating more than 10,000 direct and indirect jobs, while over 100 kilometres of new roads now run through newly developed housing layouts.
