High turnout as Lagos education commissioner, officials monitor school resumption

Schools in Lagos State reopened for the 2026/2027 academic session on Monday, recording a high turnout of students and teachers. The State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr Jamiu Alli-Balogun, along with the Ministry's Permanent Secretary, led a monitoring exercise across the state. The exercise was aimed at assessing school preparedness and ensuring a smooth start to the academic session.
