The APC Grassroots Governance Group (APC G3) has dismissed the criticism by the African Action Congress (AAC) against the Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd), describing the opposition party’s position as misguided and lacking direction. Reacting to a statement by the AAC which questioned the Minister’s alleged involvement in political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections, APC G3 said the remarks were an attempt to politicise the activities of a public official who has remained focused on strengthening Nigeria’s security architecture. In a statement issued by its National Coordinator, Chuks Oyema, the group said the AAC’s comments should not be taken seriously by Nigerians, insisting that Gen. Musa has continued to discharge his responsibilities diligently while supporting initiatives that promote national unity, peace and development. According to APC G3, the Defence Minister’s commitment to improving security and supporting government policies is evident.
