The Nigerian chapter of the International Press Institute (IPI) has condemned the invasion of a television station in Kaduna by police officers. The organisation expressed disappointment that the appointment of Tunji Disu as Inspector General of Police has not led to improved respect for human rights and press freedom. IPI Nigeria called for sanctions against those responsible for the invasion.
