The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has warned lawyers against charging clients in foreign currencies, stating that such practices could lead to prosecution. The warning was issued by ACE I Bawa Usman Kaltungo, Acting Zonal Director of the Lagos Zonal Directorate 2, during a meeting with the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Lagos Task Force on Illegal Practice of Law. Kaltungo expressed concern over illegal and unethical practices in the legal profession and emphasized that the EFCC would not hesitate to prosecute anyone found culpable. The meeting was part of a courtesy visit by the NBA delegation, led by Moshood Abiola, to the Commission's office.
