The Attorney General of Lagos State, Pedro, has suggested that the amendment to the Lagos magistrates' law will correct career progression imbalance. He noted that the policy had been implemented in Lagos since 1997 pursuant to a government circular dated March 20, 1997. The amendment aims to address longstanding issues in the magistracy.
