The Federal Government has intervened in the crisis over the management arrangement for King's College, Lagos, assuring workers that no one will be sacked, victimised, or punished due to the dispute. Minister of Education Dr Tunji Alausa gave the assurance after a meeting with the Trade Union Congress and other stakeholders. He announced that the arrangement for the King's College Old Boys Association to continue managing the institution will proceed. The TUC has suspended its planned industrial action following the government's assurances and the constitution of a seven-member committee to address the unions' concerns.
