Yemen's Houthi group said Saudi Arabia carried out 54 airstrikes across western Yemen over a 24-hour period. The strikes followed Houthi drone and missile attacks on Saudi military facilities, which prompted civil defence alerts in the southern cities of Khamis Mushait and Abha. A brief alert was also issued for Najran in southwestern Saudi Arabia without an explanation of its cause. A resident of Khamis Mushait reported hearing intense blasts that left fires burning for a long time.
