A 32-year-old herdsman, Hassan Shalo, was killed when armed men invaded his residence in Kwaipibi Village, Shongom Local Government Area of Gombe State, at about 4am on Thursday. The attackers inflicted serious injuries on him before abducting his two younger brothers, identified as 12-year-old Isa Shalo and eight-year-old Ahmadu Jalo. The Gombe State Police Command received a report and deployed the Divisional Police Officer of Shongom, who led a patrol team to the scene. Hassan was evacuated to a hospital but was later confirmed dead from his injuries.
