Google has made Anthropic's Claude coding model available to all engineers through its internal development tool. Previously, most employees were barred from using outside coding tools like Claude Code and OpenAI's Codex, with exceptions for some teams. The change comes as Google aims to catch up with rivals in AI coding, and Google is an investor in Anthropic.
