The Ugandan Law Reform Commission (ULRC) has sought Nigeria's expertise in developing a legal framework for regulating virtual assets and Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs). The request was made during a high-level visit to the Nigerian Law Society (NLS) in Abuja, facilitated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The Ugandan delegation, led by Rutaremwa Kenneth, included Agnes Kisamba and Edward T. Mugwanya, while the SEC delegation comprised Anthony Edet, Anwulika Odinwe, Ekemini Akpan, and Udokwere Michael. The engagement focused on Nigeria's experience in regulating digital assets and its emerging legal and regulatory framework.
