The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mrs Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, has paid tribute to the late Professor Alfred Bandele Kasunmu, SAN, describing him as a great teacher, distinguished lawyer, and patriarch. She recalled that her first vacation job as a law student was at his chambers, an experience she said was significant in her professional journey. She noted that Kasunmu belonged to a rare generation of lawyers who built institutions and set standards for future generations. Professor Kasunmu died on August 9, 2026, at the age of 92, leaving a legacy in legal scholarship, advocacy, and public service.
