The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) epidemiologist, Dr Lukman Ademola, has said that no new case of diphtheria has been confirmed in the territory following the recent confirmation of an outbreak. The FCTA had confirmed two deaths from diphtheria, with five laboratory-confirmed cases out of 15 investigated. Ademola stated that there is no evidence of secondary infection or community transmission.
